I am interested in disrupting the status quo through everyday means. I use primarily found and salvaged materials to synthesize issues of pollution, climate change, gendered violence (e.g. how plastic pollution transmitted via water disproportionately affects women and girls), ocean acidification, and transnational police states in photographs, installations, and collage. As I work on relationships between humans and the environment with a focus on waste, some of my major preoccupations include water, ecosystems, and borders. I am currently working on a project about the gendered violence of marine debris considering both how the Great Pacific Garbage Patch exists in the cultural imagination and the ma- terial realities of marine pollution as byproduct of global capitalism.
